Candid Career

Short 1-2 minute videos on career and job search topics that are accessible 24/7.

Are you going to be out of town and away from your class at some point during the semester? If so, there is no need to cancel class, contact career services to arrange for a director to speak to your students.

Handshake allows access to employer information as well as job and internship listings. This is a great tool to direct students and employers to use.

If an employer sends you information on a job or internship position, send it to Career Services to be entered into Handshake. Career Services will be able to then direct inquiring students to those opportunities.

If you want to connect your students with potential employers, we have a few opportunities available for you to take advantage of. Have them meet and network with employers at career fairs or invite employers to speak in your classes or student organization meetings. Consider incorporating career fair attendance as part of your course requirements.

Each year Career Services surveys the previous year’s undergraduate graduates to determine their career outcomes after college. Information from previous years is listed on the Alumni Resources page. Share this information with prospective students visiting the University of Mary and with students who are concerned about employment after graduation.
